Welcome back to the blog Family!
It’s Thursday—at least when I started writing this post—so I’m right on time with a new one! Thank you for tuning in, and if you’re a subscriber, THANK YOU! You are deeply appreciated, and I’ll be doing something special for my subscribers soon.
Since it’s still March, in honor of Women’s History Month, today’s post is about my history—my transformation, my evolution, and the journey that led me here.
Ironically, I recently saw a TikTok that mentioned archiving your life—creating your own self-curated archive to shape how you will be remembered. This post marks the first day of the rest of my life. This is The Life With Lexis Kai Requiem. Every past version of me? Gone. I had to let them go so that this new version, soon to be availed, could live and thrive. She’s being birthed on these pages, but her legacy? It’s already written. Because she is me.
Who Is Lexis Kai? A Reintroduction
Truthfully, I don’t think y’all know who I am! No matter who you thought I was— I’m RICK JAMES, B*H!
No, but seriously, I’ve been in a season of transformation for months. I’ve written about it on the blog, spoken about it to my close friends, prayed about it—and now, it’s time to walk in it. But before I do, I want to honor the past versions of me that shaped the woman I am today.
Because healing isn’t about erasing who you were—it’s about integrating all versions of yourself into the masterpiece you’re becoming.
Lexi Pooh: The Dreamer
This is me in 3rd-5th grade—OMG Girls, Lady Gaga, journaling, gossiping, and sneaking on the house phone. My favorite thing about her? Her imagination. She built entire worlds in her mind, writing short stories, teaching herself Spanish, and mastering cursive.
What she needed was love and support. Instead, she learned early that family can be your first haters and that blood isn’t always thicker than water. Whether she realized it or not, she was the seed for The Mommy Mogul.
What I’m taking from Lexi Pooh: Her creative vision. I will strive to live in the world she dreamed up 15+ years ago.
Rude Kai: The Fearless One
Middle school Lex—pre-baby, the blueprint. I was rough, raw, and real. I wrote raps, filmed freestyles on my crusty HP laptop, and posted them on YouTube for the world to see. That took courage. I was bullied relentlessly, but Rude Kai didn’t care. She knew she was THAT girl.
I know I’ll need that confidence and boldness into my next season. I want to walk into every room with her unwavering self-assuredness. She didn’t dim her light for anyone, and neither will I.
What I’m taking from Rude Kai: Her confidence. I want to embody the energy of my old text signature: #IStandAlone.
Heaven’s Mom: The Fighter
At 14 years old, I became a mother. Middle of 8th grade. My alcoholic mother relapsed, my absent father disowned me, and I still had an entire human to raise. And yet, I was also applying to magnet high schools, refusing to let my circumstances define my future.
Heaven’s Mom had an unshakable faith in herself. She had to. That faith carried me through high school, college, and beyond. Psalm 71:17 says, “Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day, I declare your marvelous deeds.” This was the faith that got me to sell my car and move to Houston with my girls. The same that got me through high school, college, and three years of teaching in another state. It got me through before, and I know it will carry me now.
What I’m taking from Heaven’s Mom: Her crazy faith.

Ms. Winn Dixie: The Hustler
If you know, you know! I started working at Winn Dixie at 14, pushing 10-15 carts at a time, three months postpartum from a C-section. Hercules ain’t got nothing on me!
I worked there for nearly five years, moving up the ranks until I was basically a customer service manager at 17. Ms. Winn Dixie was about her paper. She understood that she was a natural leader, was ambitous and had a drive that no one could deny!
What I’m taking from Ms. Winn Dixie: Her work ethic and leadership.

Ms. Gant: The Voice
My most recent form: Ms. Gant, the teacher. Funny thing is, I never saw myself as a teacher, but I’ve always been one. Even in high school, I’d lowkey act as a TA for my favorite teachers. When I finally stepped into the profession, I realized my voice had power. The Pint-Sized Powerhouse was born in the classroom.
I found my ability to command a presence, to teach, to inspire. That’s a gift I refuse to leave behind. Ms. Gant taught me that my voice is my superpower, and I’m taking that strength into this next phase. Teaching sharpened my ability to lead, to present, and to stand in my truth.
What I’m taking from Ms. Gant: Her voice. And I will use it loudly and unapologetically.

The Mommy Mogul: The Future
This is the part you’ve been waiting for.
Now introducing The Mommy Mogul—the woman who blends creativity, faith, leadership, and voice with financial freedom.
I had a realization: I don’t have to be broke just because I was raised that way. I don’t have to struggle just because it’s familiar. We are meant to live in abundance. Financially, spiritually, emotionally—all of it.
This is my Millionaire Era. The Mommy Mogul is my divine evolution—the Virgo Lady, the Divine Goddess, the force that some think they know, but few have truly witnessed in action.
And now? It’s time for y’all to see her in full form.
