Living my authentically abundant life

The Future is Female

What’s up, family!

Thank you for tuning back into my blog. I’m blessed to be back writing with you today! I’m a little off schedule, but I’m committed to hitting my goal of six posts this month. For March, each week’s post will focus on a theme reflective of Women’s History Month. In my last post, I wrote about the power I found in reclaiming my femininity.

Today’s post is clear: The Future is Female

But what does that mean? As clearly evident in contemporary film, music, and other forms of pop culture and media, women are taking over. And, after all, life imitates art. From Beyonce setting the record for most Grammy nominations and wins to Big Sister General Kamala Harris slaying the campaign trail with less than 100 days to go, women are reclaiming power and rising to their proper place as the world’s leaders.

You heard me correctly—women are designed to lead. In many aspects of life, women seem naturally adept at the complex soft skills that make the world go round. This is the natural order—not this manmade, religious-based malarky we’ve learned and been regurgitating for millennia.

Before I bore you with my astrological analysis, I want to take an anthropological perspective. Patriarchy is a relatively new concept in our evolutionary origins, with cultural anthropology suggesting its infancy correlates to humans shifting from nomadic tribes to agricultural communities. Even beyond that time, we see the tradition of matrilineal societies throughout history, especially amongst indigenous peoples of the Americas, Asia, and Africa. Notice where we don’t see this trend.

The truth is closer to our species not “naturally” being patriarchal. Instead, we have been socialized over centuries to think of women as inferior and have relegated them to only childbearing and homemaking. But that is now changing. More and more women are empowering themselves and each other, realizing they are the true source of strength and leadership. Look at influencer Wallo and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, for example. Each raved about having female-led management and recognized the impact of women on their teams and professional careers.

Don’t take my word for it. Let’s use astrology to prove it. Oh, please don’t tell me you don’t believe in astrology. Do you believe in time, the seasons, or math? Well, astrology is essentially a mathematical system that predicts evolutionary themes throughout our existence, similar to the cyclical nature of the seasons. Astrological practices predate modern religions and are even alluded to in the Bible (Matthew 2:2).

We are in the beginning stages of Pluto in Aquarius transit. Pluto is the farthest planet from Earth, so it is considered an outer planet; as such, it has more of a generational effect on humanity than an individual one. Because it is also the farthest from the sun, it has a much longer revolution. Pluto takes about 248 years (ironically the same age as the US) to make a complete orbit around the sun and thus enter a different astrological sign. Pluto represents transformation, as evident in the life cycle. The transformation includes the destruction necessary to clear out previous cycles. Aquarius is the water bearer and rules the 11th house in astrology. While a masculine polarity sign, water is a life-bringing substance that we have historically personified as a woman. As a result, many things associated with water have a feminine gendered connotation. After all, we are all born of water?

The 11th house in astrology represents our social networks, our friend groups, as well as our hopes and wishes. Which gender is currently going through a “loneliness epidemic?” Which gender is known for its community and social organization? Notice who plans the baby showers, weddings, and family reunions, all very social and community-oriented events. Notice what gender you find most event planners are (this also falls under the 11th house). Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet representing chaos and turmoil. I recently watched a TikTok, where the creator mentioned that chaos, rather than nurture, is the true nature of women. It made me think of Pandora’s box in Greek mythology. According to the myth, Pandora was the first woman created by the Gods, given the box with strict instructions to not open it. The box was filled with chaos of the unknown. In tarot, the Star card that whispers promises of renewed hope and fulfilled dreams represents Aquarius energy and is often depicted by a beautiful, voluptuous woman dipping water out of the river. Need I say more?

The energy approaching is reminiscent of the matriarchal societies prevalent in our early evolutionary existence. Contrary to popular belief, patriarchy as a relatively new concept in humanity, similar to other patriarchal institutions such as capitalism and religion. In fact, the transition from Pluto in Capricorn to Aquarius echoes the same sentiment. Capricorn represents a lot of what we deem essential to our lives today. Ruling the 10th house of status and reputation, Capricorn embodies the corporate world, the industrial revolution, the love of money, and billionaire greed. Essentially, the founding principles and values of the United States are symbolic of Pluto in Capricorn. The fact that the US is home to most of the world’s billionaires indicates the point.

Now that I’ve laid out my case, what does this mean for us? Well, the first part is already happening. Women are awakening to their power. The 4B movement, the rise in women choosing voluntary sterilization, and the exponential rise in female entrepreneurship are just some examples of women choosing themselves. In my last post, I talked about reclaiming my feminine energy and what that looked like. I don’t think of feminine energy as only soft and passive. I know feminine energy to be powerful, life-giving, and, at times, engulfing. It’s also important to highlight that feminine energy exists in ALL of us, not just women. The refusal to acknowledge that energy within and strive towards internal harmonies has created this imbalanced and tumultuous reality we live in today. My advice to you, regardless of sex or gender, is to get in tune with the yin within.

Mucho love and light,

Cousin Lex

P.S. – I’m currently listening to When God Was a Woman by Merlin Stone on Audible. Good af.
