Hello there, family.
AND WE’RE BACK!
You know I can’t stay away from the blog for too long. And I come bearing gifts! But first, we recap.
May Was a Whole Vibe (Literally)
May was a wonderful month. It really took me up and through there, in the best way possible. From doctor visits, networking events, and discovery calls, I’ve been pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. It’s scary, exciting, challenging, but most importantly, exactly what I said I wanted to do.

I love being able to look back over each month and see my progress towards my “Perfect Life”. Believe it or not, social media is one of my favorite ways to do this. I stalk my own Instagram archive religiously – I do not play. And what I see in every monthly recap or dump is a woman who is deciding to Live Life Lavish.
It’s not even a way to be nostalgic or stuck in the past; it’s a way to remember and acknowledge all versions of myself. Sometimes I miss the old me, but I never miss my old life.
And that’s something of what brings me to write today – holding the vibration of your new life.
If you’re anything like me, you’re easily irritated. I would say, sorry, I’m such a Virgo, but it’s probably more due to my dysregulated nervous system.
Your Nervous System Is the Wi-Fi
“Regulate your nervous system” is all the new buzz on TikTok, especially, but what does it even mean? Right now, I draw a parallel to your nervous system and your house’s Wi-Fi: too many people on the Wi-Fi, and it slows down. If Wi-Fi is placed in the wrong spot, you get a shoddy connection. Similarly, your nervous system can be frazzled when your mind is on too many things at once. Overthinking, ruminating, or even lamenting can cause your nervous system to go haywire. Overcompartmentalization of thoughts and emotions may lead you to feel disconnected from yourself overall.
No bueno.
Throughout what I consider my spiritual journey, I’ve found myself in my body, feeling unfamiliar. My first real observation of this was that I didn’t know how to pleasure myself. Like, I didn’t know what got me all the way to the finish. I have lots of trauma around my sexual expression from childhood to adolescence, and having a baby as a young teen made it no better, so once I realized I wasn’t actually enjoying all the sex I was having, I knew something had to give.
I didn’t know how to feel safe in my body, so I didn’t know how to make myself feel good. I thought I needed another person for that. In the same way, I thought I needed another person to give me love; I was so desperately searching for that, which I didn’t get from my family of origin. Yet, while in my search for love and pleasure, I only found myself.
There’s so much to be said about the phrase: you already have everything that you need. Or as Queen Bey so eloquently put it, “Looking for something that lives inside me!” The thing that we desire, we already have, yet may not have acknowledged or even accepted. It is exactly that lack of acceptance which prevents the thing from appearing in our reality.
You Already Have the Life You Desire
Well, what does all this have to do with holding your vibration? I’m just reminding you that you already have the life that you desire. The money, the house, the lover, the friends, the job. Whatever it is that you seek, you already have it. Even if you don’t see it yet.
With that info, now what? Put yourself in your desired life and think: How do you feel? What do your mornings look like? How do you dress? What do you eat during the day? What are your hobbies? Etc.
With all that in mind, but more importantly, that feeling within your body, the one of opulence and charisma, of peace and harmony, of radiant love and abundance, keep that feeling within, and go live your life.
It’s much easier said than done, I know, but after about a year of on and off again instances of being in the vibration of my dream life, I have come to find myself in that particular feeling more often and more easily. I can tell from my archives. It’s real, it’s not just something I write about.

When Reality Tries to Pull You Back
The true test comes when your reality wants to pull you back to your old version. You get a bill you didn’t account for. You and your partner break up unexpectedly, or you lose your job. You wake up and your car won’t start. Donald Trump (nuff said). All these things come up not to challenge you undeservingly, but to test your adaptability and commitment to the vibration of your perfect life.
I think that when I say “vibration,” it throws people off. Comes across very woo-woo. If you haven’t noticed that I live a woo-woo life by now, what have you been reading this entire time? Not only that, but it refuses to acknowledge that all things are vibratory in nature. Even the things that we see do not actually appear as they are, but are merely our brain’s processing of the vibration of visible light. The sound of your favorite tune is also a vibration in the air around you, translated into sound waves. It’s how people who are deaf can still enjoy a funky baseline.

What Vibration Are You Existing On?
We experience our entire life through an expression of vibration. But we also attune ourselves to the vibration of the life we are to live. Poverty and disease are vibrations, similar to wealth and wellbeing. We tune our own frequency through the thoughts, words, and feelings that we exhibit every day.
Romans 12:2 Allow God to change your life by changing the way you think.
There’s a reason this verse lives rent-free in my head: it’s essentially a biblical instruction for frequency work.
What vibration are you existing on? Where do you want it to change? What version are you maintaining unknowingly?
In my next post, I will be exploring this concept more deeply through an analysis of the film Frequencies, which I recently watched on Tubi.
Before I go, I’ll let you know that I am holding the vibration of Living Life Lavish, and the more I do, the more life has shown me how lavish it truly is.
Until next time,
Cousin Lex
